I got this idea from when my brother in law was in the Hospital. My sister used a website the hospital had to keep everyone updated on him. This will make it easier to keep you all updated on my mothers condition and not do a mass email. Save this link and come back. I will updated it as we go. ( as there will be no more updates, I will keep this blog open as a Memorial to my mother, So we can all reread just how much of a strong women she was. )

7/28/2010 9:30 AM A WISH FULLFILLED
Today we went and fulfilled one of my mothers wishes.
My dad and I left and met my sisters at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL. Where along with the funeral director and representative from Memory Gardens disinterred my Brother Paul Lee. Though we were hoping to find something, he Died 48 hrs after being born at 7 mnths along in 1958. He was buried in my paternal grandfathers grave and later moved to the feet of my paternal grandmother. Back then vaults weren't really required for infants.
The groundskeeper who took exceptional care when digging down to the top of my grandmothers vault, gently looking through each shovel full. Unfortunately the only thing we could find was a slight color change in the clay at that area. So The soil from directly on top of my grandmothers vault was gently taken and put in a small burial box of a hard plastic and nicely lined ( about the size 1 1/2 length 6 inches wide and about mayb e a foot high) and sealed tightly.
We carried that box up to Crystal lake Memorial Park where my mother was buried. The grounds keeper already had the hole dug nicely for us. We did have to dig more due to he didn't know how big the box was. My brother in law gently lowered the box to where it is sitting directly on my mothers vault.
After a short prayer my father took up the shovel and put one shovel full of soil in. Then melody took her turn, then Debi and then I.
Paul Lee is home with mom, Sitting exactly where he would be if she was cradling him in her arms.
The whole day was calm and very sincere. We then went to Woodstock and picked out their headstone, I think its going to be beautiful room for mom on the left and papa on the right with the Kruger name on the top. Dead center is a nature scene I believe of a mountain trees and a lake (as they always took us camping and mom loved it) and at the bottom is Paul Lee.
We did leave his original name plate at Memory Gardens as we know cause of time we didn't get all of whats left which wasn't anything but DNA in the soil, so he is resting with mom and grandma.

For Those Who couldn't
Some may think this is I don't know. But I don't many couldn't make it so I wanted to share. If anyone thinks it is bad just leave a comment and I will adjust. It's my mothers memory for all.
Shown below are #1 The photo Gallery we made. along with these where three paintings that my mother had done, as she was a fantastic painter you can kinda see the edge of one on the back of the left table. #2 The Layout, Sorry I don't think its bad to show as we have all seen. And she was beautiful, YES we put a can of beer in there to :) she also has one of her frogs, and has her moose slippers in there. She has also her dvd of sound of music so she can still enjoy and in her hand now is the photos of me and my sisters, her 4 grandchildren and 4 great Grandchildren. #3 The Funeral The two in front in Uniform are two of her Grandchildren, Jay (Il Nat Guard) and Matthew (Army- Soon Il Nat Guard) behind are her two son in laws, Neices husband.
You can finally hold Paul Lee in your arms.

MOM
My mother was an angel if there was any. I know I haven't been the best daughter got into trouble fortunately not by my own accord, but no matter what I did she was there. The neighbors remember her as a kind, fun loving individual who didn't mind having the entire neighborhood of kids in her yard. She loved to make people laugh.
She loved her children and her grandchildren and Great Grandchildren biological or step with all her heart never putting one over the other. She fought this long battle with lung cancer and Emphysema for along time telling death to stay back your not taking me I have alot to do. But no matter how hard she fought she couldn't fight that much more. Radiation and Chemo therapy was taking its toll, But in the end it was the lungs. 45 years of smoking did it in. No matter what the lungs just got worse and wouldn't scrub the carbon dioxide out of her blood and each breath was a struggle.
She enjoyed a extremely good day and went to bed as normal everynite, drifting off into dreamland and ended up staying. One can only hope that when she couldn't breath anymore that she didn't wake up and feel anything and just simply went off to the play ground finally holding her son Paul Lees hand to be with him, to find Mom and dad there and all the others Alan, Great Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Gertie, Sister Solomia all waiting there in the playground with her to enjoy eternity together again at last. I love you Mom and miss you terribly.

Saturday 10 April 2010 10:00AM
Well mom is back in the hospital again. From Wednesday to Saturday she is up at melodays then debbi brings her back her on Saturday and shes home until Wednesday.
Problem again is cO2 level in her blood. We got the Bi pap or Cpap machine for home. I put it on here when she goes to bed. or EVEN at night when when on the couch watching TV cause she normally falls asleep right away. Well this machine is the one for Sleep Apnea so it starts out with a normal air flow for ones NOT used to the PUSH of air. so basically 30 maybe an hour after she goes to sleep it Forces the air into her lungs doing this Helps purge the cO2 out of the blood. SHE say after an hour of going to sleep will get up to go to the bathroom so it comes off and then puts it back on well then the process starts again. 30 to 60 minutes later the machine starts. but then an hour later shes up again this time SHE keeps it off so the machine isn't actually doing anything. She knows she needs to leave it on. got me.
At the moment she is up at Centregra Medical Center on 31 in McHenry going into ICU. She fell asleep last nite and they couldnt wake her up. when she finally did mel got her to bed. then little bit later got up to goto the bathroom and fell. She they decided to call the paramedics.
as soon as I'm updated you'll know to. '

FINALLY HOME
She finally came home today after three days of being told your going home then nope. BUT of course not without trouble. First the Doc or someone called me with all the instructions on medication and wound care are such. Mom calls and says ok come around noon. SO well 1220 I go there. TO FIND OUT. She wont be going home unless he has another Oxygen concentrator at home. BRAKES>>>>>>>>> we have one. Well seems the doc says she needs 15 liters of oxy when she walks THO they don't want her walking for 2 weeks but over all Unless there is a oxy machine that pushes 15 NO GOING HOME. Then it was 5 hours of whats going on. No one saying anything. ok. I go home cause pops was going to be there shortly.
Finally around 5 pm I think maybe bit earlier they arrive with the second oxy concentrator then the arguments, they want to take upper machine which fills the portable bottles. WELL seems since they reavaluated here and shes on 4 liters sitting and 8 when walking (NOT that she can walk for 2 weeks) She can not use the little bottles cause something like they don't make the little bottles for 8 liters those are continuous flow instead of the breath burst ( it would put ouch oxy every time she breathed in and not lose all the air in the tank as a continuous flow does) so never the less the installer is playing i was confused and left the filler for the weekend. AND the bipap.
NOW the bipap :) THIS is fun...... small unit which actually doesn't need the oxy but since shes on oxy you can attach. it is actually the same machine they use if you have Sleep apnia. It forces air into your lungs. BUT for her case it forces air into here lungs to help scub the c02 out of her blood. The pic below looks like alien but its not it's mom asleep on the couch with the bipap on. Finally had put it on for 3 hrs came out to find out she took it off cause she said it wasn't working. its not like the one in the hospital where its full force the minute it's put on. this one starts soft to full force to get people used to it.

Well. All thought she was coming home today but thanks to the wound which they are saying is limb threatening shes not. All thoughts of st. Alexius its still humana. No one there seems toknow wats going on. If they were taking proper care of the wound it woudn't be bad she has been there a week and i dont think they have looked at the leg maybe twice.

They Cutting me in Half
Don't ask LOl. The last day and a half have been pure well only thing I can say is Hell. We spent most of the day yesterday in the Er. Then finally 11:30am she finally gets a room. SO up we go upto 644 we get up there and the girl who is transporting her is talking to a nurse , seeing something is kinda wrong I go over to see whats wrong. THAT nurse totally ignores me and tells the girl " I Don't Want her here" I said to myself " YOU don't want here here. Shes assigned her YOU have no choice." Well we start to go back down and when we get to the Elevators the girl calls the person in charge of rooms assignments and Yes she is supposed to be there.
We go back to the same desk this time miss attitudes not there. and no one seems to know their left from their right so I ask for the head nurse. She comes and asked whats the problem I nicely said what was happening at this time the nurse sat down and I said NOT to quietly This nurse here has an attitude problem and should not be by patients. and I told her what had transcribed. Well short we finally got her tot he room she was to be in . She had her lunch and was ok. at 2pm I said I'm going I couldn't stay awake anymore.
Fast forward to 3:25. The Nurse calls and tells us that they are going to move her to ICU because her C02 levels is to high. so they do. pop goes up around 5. me Did a few things and fell asleep for few hours.
Pop comes home sometime after 9. THEN THE Fun begins. 9:30 we get a call from the nurse. Nancy wants to talk to your day. well shes got the BiPap on she cant really talk and he couldn't hear here. I called back and with help from the nurse found out was all about a puzzle book. 10:30 The doctor calls and says that he doesn't think shes going to Last the night because she is breeathing way to fast and yada yada. 11:00 The nurse calls. Nancy wants to talk you. ok. "Whats up mom" Her response " They cutting me in half" I kept telling her they are not going to cut you in half. Just calm down and relax and goto sleep. 11:30 the nurse calls again. mom wants to talk again. "THEY are cutting me in half" NO Mom they are not cutting you in half. " I'm scared to death" I know you are but you need to calm down and relax or you wont get better. LOL well in the end Pops at 11:30 went back to the hospital cause she wanted someone to be there cause THEY were going to Hurt her. so He still has not had sleep but finally came home after she calmed down and started to breath better.

Well. 3am seems to be the good time to call paramedics. Mom woke to goto the bathroom and didn't make it. So weak couldn't stand anymore. We struggled for a good 25 minutes and we couldn't even het her up enough to get her to sit on the walker.so decision was made and the paramedics called. So we are still in emergency at st. Alexius at 8:15am. She has a fractured rib on left side but that didn happen tonite. She has gallstones but all looks ok. They are going to admit her.
