She is doing great. Moved out icu wednesday to transitional care then moved again thur to stepdown. Then again friday to a ward so she is actually out of icu. She is ok but weak cannot stand i think its the sterroids.

She is out of the icu and into transitional care which is still icu but still not icu. She is really weak physical therapist is with her now and stood her up but she can't stand or take a step cause being so weak. More to come as it comes.

Ok, I'am a day behind. BUT I have good news. Yesterday around noon they took out the breathing tube and she is breathing on her own. Looking better all the time. THO she doesn't like the pureed food lol will keep ya updated.

Well. I'am at the hospital with her the nurse says she is doing. They said they will probably start pressure testin to try and start weening her off the machine. If this makes sence they are pushn 45% into her at a bpm of 16 bpm.when she is somewhat awake she is breathing at 22 bpm which the respatory guy said is good. They suctioned alot more out of her lungs to.

Well, She was awake a little when I got there. BUT I do not want to see that look on her face again. The combination I'm going to cry and I'm scared to death. I told her she will be ok, but she shook her head no THEN yes, she did point to the tube and shook her head, we know she didn't want it but the docs say this can be fixed thats why we gave the ok.

They redid the suctioning again this time with a tiny camera and got alot out of her lungs. Doctor says there is still some in her lungs tiny specs and liquid but the body should take care of that. THEY are hopefully going to get her off the tube tomorrow if it doesn't work it goes back. HOPEFULLY NOT FOR LONG

Well not good. She is back in the icu and intubated. Her eating so fast got her in trouble. She was eating so fast she asasperated all the food into her lungs which in turn rose the co2 level and she became unresponsive. So they intubated so they can get the food out. So at the moment they breathing for her. Just pray it comes out fast.

Well. She is out of the ICU and in a normal ward.Last time i saw her she was looking alot better. Please pardon me if i get some misspelled words iam updating this from my phone and if any of text on a nonblackberry phone you know how it is. :)

Well, been all day in the emergency room but they finally admitted her. Though she is in the ICU she was put here cause low blood pressure. She is doing better though fighting everything from slow eating to the bipap mask. Will keep updated as she goes.

Well.she came home from the hospital on monday.they said she had a touch of pneumonia but not a cause to hospitalize and she wanted to come home so antibotics in hand home she went. Today is another story.I came home she had fallen getting out of bed and was sitting for kour and half but didn't hurt herself. Her nurse came and told me take her in so here we are at the emergency room. . .

Well.not good today.she fell lastnight hitting her head on the corner of the end table but was ok. Until this morninG was hard to wake her up.well came to Lutheran General for my surgery follow up and she had cancer doc appt for chemo shot.they admitting her into the hospital has pneumonia again.

Well mom starts chemo today.will keep updated

Well. The news isn't good.back when we first found out she had cancer we were tole she had the big tumor on her neck and two small ones in her chest. Well the two in her chest are getting worse so looks like more chemo.

Well mammogram done. No breast cancer

Mom is doing good, her knee's are just about healed. Now we are thinking of putting cushioning around her. She goes in soon for her mammogram. Will keep all updated.

Well small change mom did not come home today. Seems that she was trying to convince them she was going home today. Almost forgot she had a catscan last week. Doesn't look good lesions on her liver are getting darker and he sees spots in her right breast. He says not sure if breast cancer but having a mammo to be sure and a pepscan also that will tell if the the spots are just spots or cancer

Mom has been in hospital since monday afternoon. She wasnt getting rid of the c02 but she is on her way home today.

Once again I'm lacking on updating my mothers blog. Mom has been out of the hospital for weeks now and is doing great as can be. SHE had turned herself into a klutz. Last Wednesday we went up to Melody's and she was rushing and fell and sliced up her NEW knee pretty good and her hand and broke her toe. Shes doing OK.

Once or twice a week a nurse comes in and checks on here and changes any bandaging from any accidents she has had in the past week :). She also has a occupational and Physical Therapist come in twice a week to help here. NOT sure if its helping but it's at least getting her moving and such. She is still using the walker but does seem to be walking much better.

ME I'm trying to help out around the house as I can to help here when I am home.

I am sorry I am behind on posting updates. Mom has been in the Hospital since A week ago Sunday July 5. She wasn't feeling to good plus she had fallen a few times on her Right knee so it was hurting real bad so she had my father take her to the emergency room.

her knee is not broken she has/had a small touch of Pneumonia and a staff infection on her lower Right leg which looks a heck of alot better. She is in Isolation of sorts cause of a nasal swab coming up positive for Mersa ( a infectious Staff infection) but shes taking the meds and is doing good.

Shell hopefully be home soon. Tho she may have a new breathing machine when she gets home seems (I believe cause of the pneumonia) she isn't exhaling all the co2 out of her blood so they been hooking her up to this contraption that covers her face and forces the oxygen in and all. she may need to have it here at night while she sleeps. That we will find out maybe today cause they were doing the study on her last night on it.

Well she is home arrived here no more then 10 minutes ago and headed for the sink to wash here Hair. (they never do a good job in the homes).



She has her Therapy instructions that's she WILL follow if it kills us. As I stated before gone is the Wheel Chair. She is to walk where ever she needs to get to.



Now comes the settling in and rest before heading up to Mels.






But she is Home. NOW HER FUN BEGINS BECAUSE WE WILL NOT LET HER GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING BUT WHAT SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE DOING.
